Tempo is a virtual personal training service powered by smart weights that tracks workouts and provides an adaptive training plan for a smarter home gym.
As an embedded designer on the client’s storefront and marketing team, I worked closely with stakeholders to optimize the entire shopping experience, from initial discovery through to purchase. This involved not only improving the user journey but also leading a comprehensive brand revamp to better highlight Tempo’s dynamic training plans and the value of their smart technology.
The mobile-first experience redesign encompassed the quiz flow, product pages, checkout, and home page. My work extended beyond the storefront, as the new visual direction I developed was applied to multiple marketing channels, including emails, landing pages, and digital ads, gradually transitioning existing and new members to the refreshed branding in a consistent, cohesive way and reinforcing Tempo’s commitment to offering a personalized and adaptive training experience.
In parallel with the accelerated launch timeline of the redesigned storefront, I also provided direct visual design support for Tempo’s ongoing marketing initiatives. This included creating ad campaigns and interactive designs for monthly challenges that kept Tempo members engaged and motivated.
The mParticle platform is a hub for data from any number of inputs - mobile apps, web, feeds from external SAAS providers - and forwards it on to output services to be used for analytics, attribution, storage, audience targeting, push notifications, etc.
Despite already having a design system, mParticle’s recent acquisition of other tools meant there was a lack of consistency across 3 platforms. The result of this project was a comprehensive component library built from ‘Ant Design for Figma’ as a foundation and a brand new UI visual direction. Teaming up with mParticle’s designers to understand their needs for the platform’s current features, I built custom several components and templates for the more complex patterns present in their current product. We then completed several rounds of revisions to enhance the foundational library to align mParticle’s existing product use cases.
Dapper Labs is a blockchain technology company known for creating innovative NFT-based platforms like CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot, which allow users to trade digital collectibles. They also developed Flow, a blockchain designed for scalable and user-friendly decentralized applications, particularly in gaming and digital assets.
At Dapper Labs, I played a key role in the creation and optimization of design systems for their major sports platforms, including NFL All Day, NBA Top Shot, and LaLiga Golazos. This work laid the foundation for building the design system for their newest product, Disney Pinnacle, and improving the existing Dapper Wallet system. As an embedded member of the design systems team, I collaborated closely with Dapper’s development team to align design tokens, ensuring the final products matched the design specifications and accounted for all states and interactions, resulting in a seamless and consistent user experience across platforms.
In addition to my design systems work, I led the development of a dedicated developer site for Dapper, designed as a comprehensive resource hub for Flow users. By offering clear and accessible information, the site helps developers to efficiently navigate the Flow ecosystem, enabling them to create innovative web3 products while maintaining design integrity and best practices.
Drive AI, the marketing automation platform of Absolute Results, is a powerful tool for car dealerships to create customized offers for their customers. We undertook a complete design overhaul that would make Drive AI easier to use, understand, measure and appreciate.
My initial focus was on designing their desktop site for the dashboard as a hub for dealers' day-to-day activities, and building out a flow for dealers to view customers' profile send customized offers to them. From there, we were able to dive into refining the UI, making it look and feel better while improving usability. The next step was to create a fully responsive web app for both the dealers and customers, while General Managers got their own mobile app. It was designed to give them a clear, easy-to-digest snapshot of key information without overwhelming them.
As part of the Adobe Creative Jam X Twitch design challenge, Zone was created as a desktop app as a platform to encourage the discovery of new interests with various forms of media while fostering a sense of community.
